Update

This week our group got together and had a cookout while working on our proposal. We split up the assignment into parts that were easily manigable. Jessica was in charge of formatting the entire document to look uniform and stylish. Mark was then in charge of designing the web page layout for the proposal. We decided on a house theme. When you scroll over the links on the webpage lights in the house will light up corresponding to the link. Chris, Hillary, Mark and myself then wrote the proposal. While writing the document we came up with several greeat ideas for the website and what needs to be included. These ideas are all listed within our proposal.We did not follow the skeleton links exactly, but we thought what we included would be great.

Update information

Last week our group met towork on the proposal for the new website. We designed a few layout ideas and came up with a clean and organized look for the new webpage. Right now we are thinking of having the Habitat Logo on the main page with 5-6 links going down the left side of the page. Our proposal will discuss those links in greater detail. As we continue brainstorming about this assignment more and more great ideas arise. We can only hope that these ideas work on paper.

Interview

The interview set-up helped me figure out several aspects of the process. I enjoyed getting to play the part and putting together my resume and cover letter. Also, I really liked getting feedback on my resume and cover letter.

The process helped me to better grasp the idea of getting a job in the real world. I also was able to get a feel of how a real interview would work.

Update on group project

We met on Wednesday to discuss our website design and layout. We have a very basic sketch as to how our web page will be designed; however, this week we will really crack down on the specifics of out web site to give ourselves a good idea as to what our final product will look like. Our post next week will provide a rough estimate for the design and layout of our website, what features will be included, and what will be accomplished next week.

so far

Our group, thus far, has come together to clarify what roles we will be playing in the attempt to better the website. We've had meetings to assign jobs and brainstorm ideas. At this point in our duty, we have succeeded in assigning roles as previously noted in the post before, and we have created a couple of ideas for the website. This week, we will not be meeting because Mark and I (Jessica) will be in Chicago for five days. We will, however, be meeting next week to conclude our session!
