November 28, 2007 Meeting

Today Angie gave our class the day off . My group deceided to meet in the library during class time to finish our part of the progress report. Our group has created a blog for Shelby to use. This blog is for Shelby to post anything she wants regaurding anything dealing with Habitat for Humanity. Our group is working on a step by step process for Shelby on how to post on a blog. We have included details on how to post pictures on the blog website as well. This blog also allows outsiders to be able to contact Shelby with questions regaurding Habitat for Humanity.

Our group is also providing a user manual for Shelby on how to work the website. We will meet as a group once the website is completed to write this manual.

We look forward to seeing the finish product of the website! Our group enjoys working together and we are all excited about meeting up again! Look for an update next week! OUR GROUP LOVES EACH OTHER!!!

Friday Class

Our group is meeting today during class hours to compile logs and minutes for our proposals. We are also creating the blog and user manual for the blog for Shelby and will send for Shelby tonight. Thanksgiving is right around the corner! I hope everyone has a safe holiday!

Deciding

Congratulations to the group that had their proposal chosen! It was a great design and our group is excited about helping complete the web site for Shelby! We had several opportunities in class to get together and discuss what was to happen next. There was a little confusion at first on what our group's assignment was and we have come to the conclusion that no one will do all of the work. I LOVE OUR GROUP!

Update

Our group has been coming together to brainstorm ideas for the final. Now that the proposals are complete and turned in (woo hoo!) we will be getting together to discuss what the next steps are.

Update

This week our group got together and had a cookout while working on our proposal. We split up the assignment into parts that were easily manigable. Jessica was in charge of formatting the entire document to look uniform and stylish. Mark was then in charge of designing the web page layout for the proposal. We decided on a house theme. When you scroll over the links on the webpage lights in the house will light up corresponding to the link. Chris, Hillary, Mark and myself then wrote the proposal. While writing the document we came up with several greeat ideas for the website and what needs to be included. These ideas are all listed within our proposal.We did not follow the skeleton links exactly, but we thought what we included would be great.

Update information

Last week our group met towork on the proposal for the new website. We designed a few layout ideas and came up with a clean and organized look for the new webpage. Right now we are thinking of having the Habitat Logo on the main page with 5-6 links going down the left side of the page. Our proposal will discuss those links in greater detail. As we continue brainstorming about this assignment more and more great ideas arise. We can only hope that these ideas work on paper.

Interview

The interview set-up helped me figure out several aspects of the process. I enjoyed getting to play the part and putting together my resume and cover letter. Also, I really liked getting feedback on my resume and cover letter.

The process helped me to better grasp the idea of getting a job in the real world. I also was able to get a feel of how a real interview would work.
